Perry Farrell Fades Into Twilight
Former Jane's Addiction frontman pens tune for vampire film.
by IGN Music
October 1, 2008 - Former Jane's Addiction and Porno For Pyros and current Satellite Party frontman Perry Farrell has gotten wrapped up in the Twilight mystique.
Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke, (Lords of Doggtown<) approached Farrell about working on a song for the film.
As a result, the singer/DJ penned a new song entitled "Go All The Way," which will be featured in a crucial scene in the film.
"The song conjures up that adolescent feeling when a young man, whose been pursuing a girl he really likes, finally gets her," explains Farrell. "It's about the intense emotions when they go all the way."
"Go All The Way" was produced by Atticus Ross (NIN) and mixed by Alan Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, U2).
The new track will also appear on the movie's soundtrack, which is due out on November 4th, 2008. The film opens on November 21st.

Perry will be appearing at this year's festival once again.
On Saturday April 26th he'll help SPIN throw their Coachella After Party.
Sunday night he'll be playing in the dance tent.
Both nights will feature "live electro" sets with Carl and Etty.

Since Satellite Party's American Tour ended there has been very little news as far as what the Farrell's have been up to. Yesterday (1/30) I had the pleasure of speaking with Etty Farrell. We chatted for well over an hour about everything ranging from new Satellite Party songs to old Jane's Addiction songs. Satellite Party tour dates. Plans for the New Year. The Jane's Addiction Box Set and the rumours surrounding Perry and a possible Jane's Addiction reunion.
The complete interview is now posted in our forums.

Back on August 14th I went on a road trip to Pittsburgh to checkout Satellite Party's show at Mr. Smalls. After the show I was thrilled to be granted an interview with Perry. We sat down on a couch backstage and I proceeded to ask him members of this sites questions. It's taken me a little while to get the complete interview transcribed and posted. Check it out in our forums.

Earlier this evening on the Satellite Party Myspace and on the Offical Satellite Party Site a blog by Perry was posted. I felt it was important to share it here as well as it answers several questions about what is going on in the band and the upcoming tour.
Stage 2 Tour- America
I am in San Clemente today. We are working on our live set mix at Sounden Studios. We are about to go further and deeper. I have been greatly inspired in assembling the Satellite Party's American Tour. As is the case with all launched projectiles, parts fall off the back as the rocket climbs toward heaven. In stage 2 Nuno and Kevin have disengaged. Our new members are Nick Perri, and Jordan Plosky. Click on them below to see their Myspace sites.
Carl had told me about a young guitarist he jammed with at the "Dimebag" Darrel Abbot Benefit. He was an exceptional young player who was an amazing performer. He came in for his audition, and plugged strait in to the amp. The room was struck by a bolt of lightning. He caused a frenzy. Jordan was on drums. Carl on bass, Etty was singing. We held the rehearsal at the Paul Green School of Rock in Hollywood. Jordan is a great modern drummer. His style is perfectly suited for what we are up to. I went home that night and slept soundly. Also joining us on tour is a great young producer Cole Gion. He'll be playing synth and freaking out programs. We are going deeper -into the back catalogs. We are prepping for Satellite Party numbers, as well as Jane's, Porno, and Song Yet To Be Sung tracks. I feel energized by the prospect of our live sets.
We all paddled out this morning and caught waves at Sano' - Some of us were catching waves for the first time in our lives. It's almost as much fun to teach people as it is to do it yourself. I remember the first time somebody taught me, and the thrill of my first catch. Today we are all full of sun, waves, and music. Tomorrow we head back home for big room rehearsals. USA-
We're coming- from far and wide; singing a song to you,
Better be ready- Perry

Over the past several weeks dates for the North American leg of the tour have been popping up. I've been trying to keep up with them in this thread. Today I received an extensive list of upcoming dates. Tickets for several of these shows are already on sale. For tickets check with the venue, ticketmaster, or pollstar. I also want to mention that Perry blogged on the Satellite Party Myspace that the band wants to do more flash mobs during the upcoming tour leg.
