Etty: That and Milky Avenue is my other favorite song on that record.

I love Milky Avenue..I do not like Nightbloom at all.

Mike: I guess I can ask you this. I know nothings been announced yet other than the dates. Is there anything that you can share with me as far as possible bands for Lolla at this point?

Etty: We have a lot of close to confirmations but nothing 100% confirmed.

Mike: OK.

Etty: So I don’t want to throw it out there in case it doesn’t work out. But I can tell you that there will be a lot more Hip Hop.

Mike: OK.

Etty: I could give you a hint. Somebody that we almost 100% will have is a Hip Hop artist that has a reality show right now.

Mike: Hum?

Etty: You’re like which one? (Laughing)

Mike: (Laughing) I know. I gotta think on that one. I don’t think I’ll be able to guess it.

Etty: It’s a little (inaudible) he has a reality show I think on E.

Mike: OK.

Etty: And he’s done well in the past.

Mike: Hum? Once we get done with this interview I’m going to have to rewind this and listen to all these clues again and see if I can figure this out.

Etty: (Laughing)

Mike: I don’t have cable so I don’t have E.

Etty: O OK.

Mike: So I’ll probably have to do a little googling to figure it out but that’s OK. I don’t want to get you into any trouble or anything. I remember last year you shared some information with me about Satellite Party playing last year’s Lollapalooza and there was a thread about Satellite Party on the Lollapalooza website.

Etty: Um huh.

Mike: I mentioned something about you guys time because you had told me the time you guys were going to be playing and the date. (I posted said info on the Lolla site.) This guy was like… he PMed me he sent me a private message. He’s like “who the hell are you and how do you know this?’ So I just told him hey I run this site and that was the information I was given.

Etty: Right he’ll yell at me.

Mike: Well if they were going to yell they probably would’ve…

Etty: I could tell you that we have if everybody confirms and we’re very, very close. Fine details have to be worked out. It’s going to be our best year. We’re very, very proud of the acts that we do have.

Mike: Alright I think we’ve covered most of the questions. I could probably go back through and ask you a couple more but they’d probably be about Jane’s and I don’t know if you’d have the answers for them or want to be bothered with them.

Mike: One question nexis asked was “Does Perry ever write some of the guitar/bass riffs himself?”

Etty: Yes.

Mike: I knew he did but that’s…

Etty: He does actually a lot of it. He writes yes he does. He does write a lot of it especially the early Jane’s stuff.

Mike: Another question he had and again you’re not Perry so unless he’s told you you wouldn’t know this but “If Perry had the opportunity to work with any musician/artist in the world on a songwriting collaboration, who would it be?”

Etty: That one you would have to ask him. In fact you know what, he’s on a conference call when he gets off I’ll ask him and then I’ll email it to you.

Mike: OK. That’s awesome.

First off I would like to thank Etty for giving you the time of day when she could have been having her nails done and she was so honest and didn't dodge any questions, that is awesome.
